Sennheiser EM 500 G3

/

The Sennheiser EM 500 G3 is a half-rack true diversity UHF receiver from the evolution wireless G3 500 Series. It receives a G3 bodypack or handheld transmitter set to the same frequency band, and has long been a trusted channel on stages, in theatres and in broadcast studios.

True diversity keeps reception steady as presenters and performers move, and Sennheiser's HDX compander keeps the sound clean and quiet. The receiver tunes across a 42 MHz range, with factory banks of compatible presets for running several systems side by side, and an automatic scan to find free frequencies. Once a channel is chosen, the receiver sends its settings to the transmitter wirelessly, so setup takes only a moment.

Audio leaves through a balanced XLR output and a 6.3 mm jack output, and a built-in equalizer and soundcheck mode help fine-tune the sound before the show. The illuminated display also shows the transmitter's settings and battery level. An Ethernet port lets an engineer monitor and control the system from a computer with Sennheiser's Wireless Systems Manager. The metal housing fits a rack with the GA 3 mount. Rent it in Montréal for a dependable wireless channel at a concert, conference or play.
