Sennheiser MKE 1-4

The Sennheiser MKE 1-4 is a subminiature omnidirectional lavalier microphone, in black, with a 3-pin connector for Sennheiser's professional bodypack transmitters. At only 3.3 mm across, it hides easily in a shirt placket, under a collar, in hair or behind a costume, which makes it a favourite for film, television and theatre.

Its omni pattern picks up the voice evenly from all around, so placement is forgiving and the sound stays natural when the talent turns their head. The capsule gives clear, open dialogue with low self-noise, and it handles very loud sources without distorting, from a whisper to a shout. The thin cable is light and flexible, so it runs under clothing without pulling or rustling.

The 3-pin connector plugs into transmitters such as the Sennheiser SK 2000, SK 5212, SK 6000 and SK 9000. Rent it in Montréal for interviews, dramas, live broadcasts or stage productions where the mic must disappear.
