Sennheiser MZA 900 P

The Sennheiser MZA 900 P is an in-line phantom power adapter that lets you plug a pre-polarized condenser microphone with a 3.5 mm jack straight into a standard XLR mic input. It's the simple way to use a lavalier or headset mic made for Sennheiser evolution wireless packs, such as an MKE 2 EW, on a cable instead of a transmitter.

The adapter takes phantom power from the mixer, recorder, camera or audio interface, from P12 to P48, and turns it into the right supply for the mic, with a balanced XLR output. A switch lowers the gain by 12 dB for loud voices or instruments, and a second switch adds a low-cut filter to reduce wind, rumble and handling noise. The lockable jack socket keeps the mic plugged in, and the slim tube body hangs neatly from the cable.
