Sennheiser SKM 500 G4-S AW+
The Sennheiser SKM 500 G4-S is the top wireless handheld microphone transmitter of the evolution wireless G4 range, with a mute switch. This unit works in the AW+ band, 470 to 558 MHz, and pairs with a G4 receiver on the same band, such as the EM 300-500 G4.
The handle takes Sennheiser's interchangeable evolution mic heads, such as the cardioid MMD 835 or the supercardioid MMD 845, so you can match the head to the voice and the stage. The mute switch lets a presenter or singer silence the mic between speeches or songs without turning it off. Sennheiser's HDX compander keeps the signal clean and quiet, and the RF output switches between 10, 30 and 50 mW, from low power when many systems share a room to longer range in big halls.
The wide 88 MHz tuning range makes it easier to find clear frequencies on busy sites, and infrared sync sets up the frequency from the receiver in seconds. The metal handle runs about 8 hours on two AA batteries. Rent it in Montréal for concerts, galas, conferences and worship.
